Music for Youth was the creation of a few individuals with the goal and passion of bringing classical music, professionally performed, into the lives of young people in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Their goal was and is “to foster the love and knowledge of classical music in young people,” and with their zeal and commitment it became the mission of Music for Youth. This mission is realized each season with a series of FREE Young Persons’ Concerts, a School Residency and Scholarship program. Music for Youth was incorporated in 2002 as a not-for-profit organization. Run entirely by volunteers with professional training and careers in music and the arts, they are devoted to implementing the mission of the organization.
