There will be a special “meet the violin” program before the concert in the Pequot Library children’s room at 1:00.  Teachers from the Suzuki School of Music of Westport and Orange will help children make a cardboard model of a violin and demonstrate bowing rhythms, explaining how a violin makes sound.  There will be a $5 materials fee collected at door for the “meet the violin” program to cover the box violin and bow.  Registration is required. Go to website; musicforyouth.net for more info.
